Im on the edge with you

June is National Gay Pride month: Put this as your status if you know or love someone who is gay. A wish that people soon understand that being gay is not a disease or a choice! People who are gay are not looking for a cure but for acceptance and equal rights. Many won't copy and paste this. Will you make it you status for at least one hour? Promote love and acceptance! Stop the hate!
I decided to  have this be today's posting since I am leaving for Nashville's pride today.
I am also posting a video. LadyGaga's "The Edge of Glory". I don't know what to say about this video. She is not doing much in it. Kinda dancing around like a fan might to the song. I not sure what she was going for in this video. I could have thought of three different video scenarios to use. A) a thelma and louise kinda deal. B) a couple about to have sex for the first time. C) make the video be to the fans and show concert clips or her our talking with fans.

Jesus is the new black

I have been listening to Lady Gaga's album "Born This Way" It is interesting. Quite a few religious(Christian) references with songs like "Bloody Mary" and Black Jesus+Amen Fashion and of course the hit , "Judas".

There is a song called "Fashion of His Love". I would not be surprised to here this song with some lyric tweaking in one of those new innovative hip churches. That plays mostly rock and pop influenced music during the service instead of chants or traditional hymns. When I read the lyrics, they read like many Christian songs, especially since this new wave of Christianity came about.

The Edge of Glory is a few minor tweaks as well would be part of the summer services.

The album is seems to have ushered in the 1980's revival into popular culture. Electronica was on the rise as the synthesizers are all over the place in this song and anoint every song on the album. Most of the club beats have been released to the public in the slow leak of 4 songs off of the album before its May 23rd release. Lady Gaga has  a large following who will sway and jump to these tracks as they listen through this sophomore album. I think Lady Gaga and her "little monsters" will have a lasting effect on the second decade of the 21st century.
